When I won the Byblos Bank Award back in 2014, it was through my very first project, which eventually ended up defining my photographic practice until today. At the time, I was still working on my Masters project at ALBA. This experience quickly propelled me into the professional world of photography: with deadlines, expectations, and an exhibition room to fill all by myself! That's when I left my comfort zones. I realized that not only did photography help me to approach reality and its people, but that this medium also allowed me to express myself and to say the things I feel in a fluid way, without the heaviness of words. Today, exactly four years after my first solo exhibition at Byblos Bank, I am presenting my second solo exhibition at the French Institute. And I find this same stress, this same excitement, and a wild sense of satisfaction again!
