Byblos Bank S.A.L. – Cyprus Branch

Originally established in 1984 as Byblos Bank’s International Banking Unit (IBU), the Limassol Branch became an overseas branch of Byblos Bank S.A.L. in early 2006 under new regulations related to Cyprus’ entry into the European Union and adoption of the Euro.

The Branch’s activities focus on business services, including transfers, trade finance (letters of credit, letters of guarantee, and documentary collections), and project finance, as well as personal account services.

As with all Byblos Bank S.A.L. branches in Lebanon and abroad, the Cyprus Branch’s operations are centralized at the Group’s Head Office in Beirut and therefore benefit from all the experience, expertise, and state-of-the-art practices that our customers have come to expect.

Byblos Bank and AstroBank wish to inform you that on 3 December 2021, the last of the conditions precedent under the Agreement, by which AstroBank shall acquire the banking business of Byblos Bank in Cyprus, were satisfied and thus the completion date is set to be 10 December 2021.
